Vedaaranya Heritage Festival 2018 is bringing together, the best of creative performances and the martial arts from the grassroots of India, and will facilitate the resurgence of the creative learning and engagements with global participants interactively with the local youth and women and girls in the rich and intricately brilliant Shekhawati, now declared a heritage city in which we have recently started an INTACH chapter as well.
PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry is also collaborating with us in this event.
There will be many more workshops and training in healing, Ayurveda, Kite making Local games etc during the festival as well.
Kalaripayattu Masters from Kerala will teach these great Martial Arts to Students and Adult participants at Poddar Haveli for three weeks, from 21st December 2017 to 11th January 2018 before the Vedaaranya Festival (VHAH FEST 2018). The students will go back with great physical and mental concentration power and the best students will perform along with the Masters on 12thJanuary 2018, National Youth Day, at the inauguration of VHAH FEST 2018!

Chhau dance is a semi classical Indian dance with martial, tribal and folk origins. It originates from the eastern Indian states of Odisha, Jharkhand and West Bengal. The chou dance of Purulia is a dance which is accompanied by ornate masks.This chou masks were traditionally ornamented with natural components like bids, feather of birds etc. The masks were made up of paper pulp which make them light and easily usable.
This Indian tradition is revived and this workshop organized by Shruti Foundation will help artisans and students of Shekhawati to learn and master the art of Chau mask making. The workshp is FREE for all students.

Mallakamba is a traditional Indian sport in which a gymnast performs aerial yoga postures and wrestling grips in concert with a vertical stationary or hanging wooden pole, cane or hanging rope. Now, it was highly developed and popularized all over India, especially in Bombay Maharashtra, and Villupulam of Tamil Nadu.

Shikha is an entrepreneur and has set up digital marketing companies in India and Malaysia. In her talk, she makes her mark as how at a very early age you can recognise and nurture entrepreneurial talent in students to be a flourishing entrepreneur, setting no boundaries for there dreams. Given the situation of educational system in small cities, developing entrepreneural skills in such places is difficult. Shikha will help teachers and students device mechanisms to develop these skills in school.
She says all you need is a positive attitude, aggressiveness and willingness to pull your energy into building a new company.
